You don't need to re-run an entire property's research to refresh a single section. Each section has its own Re-run button so you can update Comps, Taxes, or Units independently.
When to re-run a section
- You uploaded a new rent roll. Re-run Units to pull in the new doors.
- A new comp closed. Re-run Comps to pick up the recent sale.
- The county updated a tax record. Re-run Taxes.
- You corrected Basic Info. Re-run AI Summary so the narrative reflects the corrected facts.
How to re-run
- Open the section subpage (e.g.
/dash/portfolios/.../properties/.../comps). - Click Re-run in the section header.
- Confirm the warning if you have manual overrides on this section (see below).
The section flips to Running. Other sections are unaffected.
What gets overwritten
A section re-run replaces:
- Agent-produced values — yes, fully overwritten.
- Citations — re-derived from the new run.
- Manual overrides — by default, kept. Relm warns before a re-run if it detects overrides; you can choose to:
- Merge (keep your overrides, only update fields you didn't touch).
- Replace (overwrite everything, dropping your overrides).
Merge is the default and the right answer 95% of the time. Replace is useful when you've gone too far on overrides and want a clean slate.
What's preserved
Across both merge and replace:
- Version history — every prior value is in history and revertible.
- Document attachments — the documents you uploaded stay attached.
- Lock state — re-running doesn't release someone else's edit lock; re-runs queue behind any active edits.
Re-running while someone is editing
If a teammate has a lock on the property in Edit Mode, you can't re-run a section until they release. The Re-run button shows a tooltip naming who's editing.
If their lock is stale and they've walked away, an admin can force unlock — but that discards their pending edits, so check before doing it.
Cost
Per-section re-runs are free on every plan. Only pro-forma generation costs credits. See Pro-forma credits.
