Out of credits mid-run? The work pauses and waits

Running out of credits part-way through an analysis no longer reads as a failure. The remaining work is held, says it is held, and resumes on its own when you top up — nothing to re-run.

1.16.0

Credits run out mid-analysis on big properties. Until now that looked like something had broken, and the page kept spinning as if work were still happening.

Held, not failed

  • A section waiting on credits says "Paused — out of credits" in amber, with a Buy credits link and a sentence promising the automatic resume. No red error, no blank card.
  • The spinner stops. A held run no longer sits there warning you that it is taking longer than expected.
  • The docked progress card says paused rather than complete, and you get no "ready to review" notification for work that has not happened yet.
  • Held pro-formas and bulk batches are visible on the portfolio list, so a paused property is not just an idle-looking row.

A heads-up before the pause

When your balance is running low mid-run you get an amber notice explaining exactly what happens next: sections already running will finish and bill as normal, and anything after them waits until you top up. Your balance also refreshes as runs settle, rather than only when you reload the page.

Top up and walk away

Adding credits releases the hold. A page you left open picks the resumed run up by itself — no reload, no re-running the sections that already finished.

A refusal for credits is now presented as a billing state throughout, with a route to fix it, rather than as "an error during analysis".
