Chat is only as good as what it can read. On a property nobody had researched, it could only see the instant preview — and an answer built on that reads exactly like an answer built on a full analysis.
- Never researched: chat is locked, explains the difference between preview and researched data, and points you at Deep Search.
- Running or queued: chat is open and your message is held until research finishes, then answered. Nothing is lost while you wait.
- Researched: chat works as it always has.
- On a section's own page, chat unlocks as soon as that section's research is in, even if other sections are still going.
If we cannot tell whether a property has been researched, chat stays open. Being asked to run research you have already run would be worse than the problem this fixes.
