Research: open a report or workbook beside the chat

Reports and workbooks the Research chat builds now open in a panel next to the conversation, with every version kept, so you can read the numbers without downloading the file.

What changed

  • Open, not just download. A report or workbook the chat builds now shows its version and an Open button. The document opens beside the conversation on a wide screen, and full screen on a phone or tablet.
  • Reports read like a page. Headings, lists and tables, the same as the Word file.
  • Workbooks show their formulas. Click any cell to see its formula and its value, and switch between sheets. Inputs are blue.
  • Every version is kept. See who made each version, when, and what changed, and look at an earlier one.
  • PDF and downloads in one place. View the PDF in the panel, or download the Word, Excel or PDF file of the version you are looking at.
