Sign in myself: paste works, it opens faster, and the browser is for signing in only

In the live sign-in window you can now paste with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V, the window opens without the long wait, and the browser can only be used to sign in. Your password is never saved there.

Improvements to Sign in myself in Settings → Third-Party Services:

  • Paste works. Cmd+V on a Mac and Ctrl+V on Windows or Linux paste from your own clipboard into the portal, including into password fields that refuse pasting.
  • It opens faster. A browser is kept ready, so the window usually opens without the minute-long "Starting a secure browser" wait.
  • A browser for signing in only. The window now shows only the portal and its sign-in pop-ups: browser settings, other tools and menus are gone.
  • Your password is never saved there. When the window closes, the browser and everything in it are deleted. Relm keeps only your signed-in session, encrypted, so it can read the portal for you.
  • Only you can see your sign-in window. Another member of your organization can no longer open or close a sign-in window you started, and an unfinished window closes within about a minute of its 15-minute limit.
