If a property section (Basic Info, Taxes, Comps, Units, etc.) shows wrong, stale, or empty data, the fix is almost always to re-run that section. This article walks through how, when to use it, and what happens to your edits.
When to re-run a section
- The numbers look obviously wrong (e.g., "Year built: 1900" for a 2018 build).
- The section is empty after an Intel Report finished.
- A document you uploaded after the initial run hasn't been incorporated.
- You changed Basic Info inputs (e.g., unit count) that downstream sections depend on.
If everything looks right but you just want to refresh data, you don't need to re-run — Intel Report data is generally stable until your inputs change.
How to re-run a single section
- Open the property.
- Open the section in question (Basic Info, Taxes, Comps, etc.) to go to its page.
- Click Rerun at the top of the section page.
The agent for that section starts in the background. The header shows Analyzing... while it runs (or Queued if it's waiting its turn), and Stop cancels it. See Per-section reruns for the full UI.
If a section failed or was stopped, its card on the property overview also offers Restart or Resume.
What happens to your edits
When you re-run a section:
- Fresh results can overwrite values you edited by hand. Re-apply any manual corrections after the run finishes.
- Earlier values are kept in Version history, and the section's History button lets you undo individual changes.
- Other sections are not affected. Re-running Comps doesn't touch Basic Info.
Re-running everything
To re-run all sections at once, use the property-level Rerun Intel Report button. This queues every section's agent. See Run, queue, and cancel.
This uses credits the same as the initial run — charged when the run completes, based on the data and AI work it delivers.
When re-running doesn't help
If a re-run produces the same wrong data:
- Bad upstream data — the source dataset may be wrong. Click Edit at the top of the section to correct it manually.
- Document not indexed — check the Documents tab; an unindexed doc isn't visible to agents. See Indexing & processing status.
- Agent bug — if the data is consistently wrong across re-runs and your inputs are correct, report it. Include the property URL.
Locks and re-runs
Re-running a section doesn't require the edit lock. If a teammate is editing the property (you'll see "[Name] is editing"), check with them first — the re-run can overwrite that section's values. See Property locks.
