The Relm Pro Excel add-in doesn't ask for your username and password inside the taskpane. When you click Sign In, it opens a separate Relm sign-in window; you sign in there, and the add-in picks up your session.
Why a separate sign-in window
Two reasons:
- Security. Your Relm password, SSO credential, and MFA codes go into Relm's own sign-in page, never into the taskpane.
- MFA. If your account uses multi-factor sign-in, you complete it in the same window.
The flow
- Click Sign In in the Relm Pro taskpane.
- A sign-in window opens. (In Excel for the web, it opens as a browser pop-up.)
- If you're already signed in there, it finishes right away.
- If not, sign in the way you normally sign in to Relm, including MFA if you use it.
- The window closes and the taskpane shows your portfolios.
Staying signed in
- Your session renews automatically while the taskpane is open.
- The add-in doesn't keep you signed in between taskpane sessions. After you close the taskpane or Excel, click Sign In again — if you're still signed in to Relm in the sign-in window, it completes without asking for your password.
Multiple organizations
If your Relm account belongs to more than one organization, switch between them with the organization menu at the top of the taskpane. To use a different Relm account, sign out and sign back in with that account.
Signing out
Click Sign out at the top of the taskpane. This ends the add-in's session and signs you out in the sign-in window too, so the next sign-in starts fresh.
Common issues
- "Nothing happens when I click Sign In." The sign-in window may be behind Excel, or (in Excel for the web) blocked as a pop-up. Allow it and click Sign In again.
- "Could not load authentication service." Your network blocked part of the sign-in page. Click Retry; if it keeps happening, see Excel troubleshooting.
- "I signed in but the taskpane still shows Sign In." Close the sign-in window and click Sign In again — if your sign-in went through, it completes right away.
